Pearl Graham, Lead Artist

As lead artist, I bring a well-structured class that includes a block of time devoted to painting and journaling. While some participants will want to paint what they would like to, others may need instruction on what to paint, and even how to paint. Some good suggestions for starters might be to paint a portrait of a real image, like someone's face. Some participants may have to be walked through this process while others will need no such help. No matter what the participant chooses to do during the sessions, they must produce something and record the process of their creative journey in a journal.

Class Focus Points Include:

  • Examiniation of Canvas types: Students will discuss various types of canvas and what it means to create a piece using mix mediums.

  • Examination of Basic Colors: Students will discuss basic colors and blending.

  • Examination of Paints: Students will paint with acrylic, oil, and water color.

  • Examination of Easels: Students will discuss the usages of easils are and will use them to do their work.
